A Registered Dietitian is an expert in both food and nutrition. At LifeSteps, we believe in education and encouraging good health and proper diet by engaging the whole family. After all, parents or guardians are the food buyers and ultimate decision makers on the food that is available for the family. Diet and nutrition are an important part of LifeSteps’ multi-disciplinary approach, and our Registered Dietitians are experts in assessing you or your child’s unique nutritional needs.  
Signs You Or Your Child may need a Registered Dietitian:

  • Too Thin
  • Too Heavy
  • Lethargic/Low energy output 
  •  Diabetic or high levels of insulin or blood sugar, Gestational Diabetes
  •  Hypoglycemia
  •  Austism
  • Allergies, Skin Rashes or breakouts
  • Gastric Disturbances
  • Any abnormal lab values

Why is diet and nutrition important?

Often, people who suffer from low blood sugar or even behavioral problems can find success by altering their diet with the help of a dietitian. LifeSteps’ Registered Dieticians will do everything possible to reverse the damage caused by improper nutrition and help you and/or your child get back in step with a diet that will help manage weight, improve health and make life enjoyable.

How Does It Work?

An evaluation by one our registered dietitians can help lead you to the next step to develop healthy diets, support good eating habits, and educate families on eating to improve their health. We provide these services for adults and children. A physician referral is required.
